Current situation in each Division
April 27, 2018
With the end of the season approaching, the race for titles, promotion places and avoiding relegation heats up.
Division 1
The race for the Mercer League Trophy has turned into one of the most exciting in years with 3 teams capable of winning it. NFC Kesh are currently top the table with 49 points with two games remaining to play. The reigning champions Strathroy Harps lay in 2nd place on 43 points with three games in hand on NFC Kesh, with Irish Junior Cup finalist Enniskillen Rangers sitting in 3rd place with 36 points, but have an unbelievable 9 matches still left to play. This Saturday's match between Strathroy Harps and Enniskillen Rangers will have a major impact on the race for the title. Will NFC Kesh who have the points in the bag or will one of the big guns Strathroy Harps or Enniskillen Rangers who have the games in hand make a late charge and snatch the title is anyone's guess, one thing for certain it is going to be any exciting month ahead.
With Lisnaskea Rovers relegated following last weeks defeat to local rivals Magheraveely, it leaves one spot for the dreaded relegation undecided with only two teams left in the mix, Magheraveely and Mountjoy United. Both teams face each other this weekend at the Peace Link in Clones in a classic 6 pointer, with the visitors (Mountjoy United) 1 point behind their hosts but have the comfort of 3 games in hand on their fellow struggler's. Even if Magheraveely win tomorrow, you would still have to make Mountjoy favorites to survive due to their games in with 4 of their remaining 5 games at home.

Relegation - Lisnaskea Rovers and either Magheraveely or Mountjoy United

Strule United were crowned champions several weeks ago with Dergview Reserves clinching the 2nd promotion spot last Thursday with their win over Ardstraw Reserves which in turn relegated them back to Division 3 after one season in the 2nd tier. The last remaining spot is between Mountfield, Omagh Hospitals, Fintona Swifts and Dunbreen Rovers with the later 3 points behind their rivals with one game left to play.

Division 3
Enniskillen Athletic were crowned champions last week with the last remaining promotion spot extremely tight with Augher Stars, Drumquin United and Enniskillen Galaxy fighting it out. Augher Stars have finished their season and have 32 points, Drumquin have 30 points with one game remaining and Enniskillen Galaxy have 22 points but 4 games to play. This Saturday Enniskillen Galaxy host Drumquin United in a huge game, a win for Drumquin United and they are promoted. A draw means Enniskillen Galaxy would have to win their remaining 3 matches to gain promotion and deny new boys Augher Stars promotion in their 1st season back in the league.

Reserve Division 1

So its an exciting end to the season for all the teams involved. At the bottom, only a mircale can save Dunbreen Rovers Reserves and Lisnaskea Rovers Reserves from relegation with both table well a drift at the bottom with any slip ups by either side or a point by NFC Kesh Reserves in their remaining match meaning relegation for both teams.
